Journalists vs “Swim or Die” swimming team, gave a basketball game to support SOS Children's Villages mission in Plagiari, Thessaloniki.
The purpose of this humanitarian sport event was to collect essentials for children living and growing up in SOS Children Village.

The game was held on December 18, 2016 in the indoor hall of Kalamaria, with a final score of 61-50 in favor of the swimming team and in the presence of the SOS Children's Village’s Director in Plagiari, Mr Akis Drepanidis, where except the main program, there was a surprise show by the dance group Las Flores de Lotto from the ALL STAR DANCE academy.

Orphee Beinoglou’s staff and spectators responded strongly and gathered many essentials like oil, pasta, legume, sugar, cereal, tomato sauce, laundry detergents, general-purpose cleansers, shower gels, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

All items collected, were transferred to the Children's Village with the kind sponsorship of Orphee Beinoglou that helps and supports the purpose of SOS Children's Villages.
The event was co-organized by S.O.S. Children's Villages, the Municipality of Kalamaria and the Marathon Swimming team “Swim or Die” with the contribution of the Basketball Clubs Association of Thessaloniki, the Referees Association of Thessaloniki and OMAK.
